Happy New Year!

Two things I hate - thunder and fireworks! Why do they have to do this tonight of all nights? Just as we are settling in to a quiet night at home, just Mum, Dad and me, these fireworks are everywhere - is there nowhere safe to hide?

Agile me!

Agility training is just one part of my tough training regime.

I'm in charge now

Sometimes my Mum and Dad leave me IN CHARGE. Of the WHOLE HOUSE! I don't know where they go, but when I'm IN CHARGE I know where I go! The best place to guard the house is from their bed. I can sit on that and see all the possible danger. One bark from me and they leave! Every time!

It is hard work, guarding, and sometimes I fall asleep, for example, on their bed. It is also hungry work, so if I can find something to chew on I will often bring it up to bed with me.

Last night they were out for ages, and so was my little brother, Henrik. It was dark and I might have fallen asleep - but I guarded well!

Doing my bit

Someone has to start to save this planet!

New friend at the dog park

Met up with Luke today. He is a Scottish terrier visiting Helsinki, I guess. Nice.

Xmas eve.

Xmas eve and my first present. I got great gifts - the only problem is finding places to busy them in the house. Mum and Dad get cheesed off he I use the furniture, and there are only so many pot plants in my reach...

Another dog to share treats with

Christmas day at Kalle's place

This is fun - some of these gifts are for me - ALL the boxes are mine - anything that smells of meat or old shoes?

Guess where the chocolate bones are...

This apron has a large pocket

Xmas eve glogi with neighbours

Mari and Risto and chocolate bones. I love Christmas.

Christmas Eve morning

Christmas Eve in Helsinki! Well it has almost snowed so I think we can call this a white christmas - not enough for snowballs yet though....

Had some ham this morning for breakfast, yum. I need to keep a constant eye on the ham now in case my Mum forgets where she has put it.

So my morning constitutional went OK, - needed to tell off one man for walking in a strange way and had to protect my Mum from one large dog who had evil intentions - but all-in-all fine, protected the two blocks that I owned and refreshed all the marks so NOBODY else will come near!

Lots of parcels here waiting to be opened later, some of them smell like mine :)

Sunday mornings

I love Sundays. Get to spend all day with Mum and Dad. Now I am out walking...

Three days to Christmas and still we don't have a tree! Today I saw a family walking their tree home and thought "that could have been mine!". Still - a bit pointless really - last year my Dad brought a tree home and it was almost dead the next day - a stick in the lounge room and no opportunity to pee on it!

But let's see - will we have a tree this year? Will it be nicer than last year's poor effort?

My brother's birthday

On Monday it was the birthday of my brother Henrik. He was 18 years old. If he was a dog he would be 126 dog years old, but he's a person so that makes him 18. I am 30-something dog years old - a wise young lady - but I love my 18 year old/young brother. If my master was a dog he would be too old for me to calculate (as I can only count to 150).

This picture was taken at my brother's party. That's me in the scarf, waiting for my grandmother to drop her snack

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from Amy
Why do they make me wear this hat? Red is definitely not my colour...

But, snow in Finland - worth the effort and embarrassment
